A-League: City looking upwards

Melbourne City are heading in the right direction and need another three points when they take on Western United on Sunday.

Following a slow start to the season, City are unbeaten in the last five games, and they smashed Brisbane Roar 8-1 last weekend.

They are still some way from where they want to be, but the top of the ladder is still within touching distance.

Western on the other hand are sitting rock bottom of the ladder, with just two wins all season.

One of those wins was against City in the very first game of the season, so another upset cannot be ruled out.

Western hit rock bottom

Western United have won just two games all season. The first was against Melbourne City in the first game of the season, the second against Brisbane on 15th December.

They have lost the other eight games and are sitting firmly at the bottom of the ladder.

It has been a disastrous season at both ends of the pitch, scoring just seven goals and conceding 23.

Lachlan Wales scored when the two sides met earlier in the season and is their leading goalscorer with two goals, which says it all.

Wales is priced at 5.00 to score at anytime on Sunday, while Noah Botic, who also scored in the opening day win, is 3.75.

Western have struggled for goals and there is a chance that City will keep a clean sheet.

Both Teams To Score No is available at 2.37.

City on the up

Melbourne City should be on a high after thumping Brisbane Roar 8-1 and will be looking to put another big score on against Western.

Over 4.5 goals in the game can be backed at 4.00, and if City carry on where they left off against Brisbane, it is very possible.

Jamie Maclaren is getting back to his best and scored a hat-trick against Roar. He is now their leading goalscorer with seven goals and is priced at 3.50 to bag the first on Sunday.

Tolgay Arslan, who has four goals this season, is a bigger price at 8.00, to score the first goal of the game.
