A-League Grand Final outright odds: Victory lead the way

The 2024/25 A-League season is just four games old but already Melbourne Victory are looking strong under the leadership of manager Patrick Kisnorbo.

There is a long way to go and much can change but Victory have the bit between their teeth as they look to end their premiership drought.

However, there is plenty of time for rival teams to hit top form and peak at just the right time, with Melbourne City also in the mix.

With another international break upon us, now is the time to take a look at the latest outright odds to win the 2024/25 A-League grand final.

Melbourne Victory

Victory are unbeaten in the opening four games of the season and can be backed at 4.33 to go all the way and win the grand final.

They have a coach who knows how to get the job done as Patrick Kisnorbo tasted much success with arch rivals Melbourne City.

Kisnorbo’s connection to City has already been forgotten following a 3-1 win the derby, which was backed up with wins over Macarthur FC and Brisbane Roar.

Victory are having no issues scoring goals, while they have tightened things up at the back, which makes them a very dangerous proposition.

Sydney FC

It has not been the greatest start to the season for Sydney FC but they are still priced at 6.00 to win the grand final.

They sit seventh on the ladder having won two and lost two, but there is still plenty of time for them to hit top form.

Much could depend on the form of Brazilian superstar Douglas Costa, who has already had to contend with a couple of injury niggles.

Joe Lolley has also been missing and it is crucial they get him back fit and in the side sooner rather than later.

Melbourne City

After a couple of disappointing seasons, Melbourne City will be delighted to be back in the mix as they sit in second place on the ladder.

It is a new-look side for City, but the early signs are encouraging and they can be backed at 6.50 to win the grand final.

Central Coast Mariners

The reigning premiers have yet to win a game this season, drawing three and losing one of their opening four games.

It is far from ideal, but going off what happened last season, no-one will be panicking in Gosford.

In 2023/24 the Mariners lost their opening four games before going on to win the Championship/Premiership double.

After losing a couple of key players this could be their biggest test yet, but they cannot be written off and are 7.00 to win the grand final for a third year in a row.

Auckland FC

It would be one of the biggest shocks in the history of the A-League if Auckland FC won the grand final, but the new boys deserve a mention.

They have taken to the league like a duck to water, winning their opening three games without conceding a goal.

Coach Steve Corica has been there and done it and Auckland FC can be backed at 10.00 to win the grand final in their debut season.
