A-League: Mariners out to keep title hopes alive

Central Coast Mariners and Wellington Phoenix clash in a massive top-of-the-ladder clash on Saturday evening.

Phoenix sit three points clear of the second-placed Mariners and are priced at 1.66 to win the minor premiership.

Central Coast can level things up with a win and are 2.20 to claim the premiership.

There is also a big Melbourne derby to look forward to on Saturday night, with Victory entertaining City at AAMI Park.

And to begin an exciting day of action, Western United play host to Macarthur FC.

Bulls look to bounce back

. When: 14:30 (AEST), Saturday 6th April 2024

Macarthur will be out to cement their place in the top six with a win over Western United, who sit bottom of the ladder.

The Bulls lost 3-1 at home against Western Sydney Wanderers last week and need to get back to winning ways.

When the two sides met in January, the game ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, and over 2.5 goals this time can be backed at 1.40.

Ulises Davila scored a hat-trick for Macarthur in the last game, while Daniel Penha scored two for Western.

Davila is 3.00 to score at anytime again, while Penha can be backed at 2.37 to do the same.

Must-win for Mariners

. What: Central Coast Mariners v Wellington Phoenix
. Where: Industree Group Stadium, Sydney
. When: 16:30 (AEST), Saturday 6th April 2024
. How to watch: Paramount+
. Odds: Central Coast Mariners 1.75, Draw 4.00, Wellington Phoenix 4.50

With just four games of the regular season remaining, Central Coast really need the three points if they are to pip Wellington Phoenix to the minor premiership.

They returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Melbourne City on Tuesday with Angel Torres again on the scoresheet.

The Colombian continues to shine and is 6.50 to get the first goal of the game.

Wellington have won the last two games, but the last two meetings with the Mariners have ended in a draw.

The last meeting was goalless, and 1-1 in the game before that, so another tight one could be on the cards.

Under 2.5 goals in the game is priced at 2.05.

Time running out for City

. What: Melbourne Victory v Melbourne City
. Where: AAMI Park, Melbourne
. When: 18:45 (AEST), Saturday 6th April 2024
. How to watch: Paramount+, 10 Bold
. Odds: Melbourne Victory 2.25, Draw 3.60, Melbourne City 3.10

Melbourne Victory will play finals this season, but City have work to do if they are to join them in the top six.

After losing to Central Coast on Tuesday, City are four points behind sixth spot, and need a win against Victory to keep their hopes alive.

Quite amazingly, the last two derby clashes have finished goalless, and another 0-0 can be backed at 15.00. Under 2.5 goals in the game is also available at 2.30.

Victory head into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Perth Glory, with Bruno Fornaroli bagging both goals against his former club.

Fornaroli can be backed at 5.00 to score the first goal or 2.25 to score at anytime.
