Aaron Baddeley is a veteran of the PGA Tour and is still going strong at the age of 42.
The Australian burst on to the scene as a teenager, and although he may not of lived up to his early potential, Baddeley has carved out a very successful career.
Baddeley himself admits he has ‘under-achieved’ but has still gone on to pick up eight professional wins on the PGA and European Tour, during a career than spans 23 years.
The then 19-year-old won the Holden Australian Open as an amateur in 1999, and then retained his title as a professional the year after.
Baddeley was seen as one of the most promising talents in world golf at that time, but many would say he has lived in the shadow of fellow Aussie Adam Scott since then.
Even so he picked up his first big win on the PGA Tour in 2006 when pipping Jim Furyk to the Verizon Heritage.
Further PGA Tour wins came in 2007, 2011 and 2016, but his best finish in a major is T13 at both the PGA Championship and US Open.
At that US Open in 2007, Baddeley was leading after the third round. However he fell away dramatically after carding a final round score of 80 at the Oakmont Country Club.
Baddeley is still playing on the PGA Tour and has amassed over $23million in career earnings so far.
