NRL: Accor Stadium hosts battle for home final

Canterbury Bulldogs and North Queensland Cowboys will be fighting it out to finish fifth on the NRL, which would ensure a home final in week one, when they meet at Accor Stadium on Saturday.

The Bulldogs currently sit in fifth spot but are level on points with the Cowboys heading into Saturday’s crunch clash.

A home final will be crucial as they both attempt to pull off a big shock and make it all the way to the grand final.

The Bulldogs can be backed at 6.00 to reach the grand final, while the Cowboys are available at 12.00 to do the same.

The Bulldogs should have the edge with home advantage, but the Cowboys have shown they are more than capable of leaving with the two points.

A close battle looks to be on the cards and both sides will be desperate to take the win, fifth spot and the feel-good factor into finals.

Bulldogs look to bounce back

The Bulldogs have been in great form, but they hit a stumbling block last week when slipping to defeat against Manly Sea Eagles.

It was not the end of the world, but they will be keen to avoid back-to-back defeats as they head into finals.

They will be boosted by the return of Stephen Crichton from suspension, which will allow Jacob Kiraz to switch back to the wing.

Kiraz can be backed at 13.00 to score the try goal of the game, or 2.60 to grab a try at anytime.

Josh Addo-Carr has scored 11 tries in 11 games against the Cowboys and is 7.00 to score the first.

The Bulldogs have a great record at Accor Stadium in recent times, winning seven of the past eight games at the venue.

They can be backed at 3.25 to keep the run going and win this one by 13+ points.

Cowboys out to build on Storm win

North Queensland are going well and can take heart from the victory over Melbourne Storm last weekend.

The Storm may have rested a heap of players, but they still pushed the Cowboys all the way before going down 38-30.

It was a good win for the Cowboys, with departing winger Kyle Feldt grabbing a couple of important tries.

Feldt is 8.50 to score the first try of the game, or 1.95 to score at anytime.

The Cowboys have a good record against the Bulldogs, winning six of the past eight games.

The Bulldogs are a different animal this season, but the Cowboys will still fancy their chances of getting a result.

Todd Payten’s side can be backed at 3.50 to edge the game by 1-12 points.
