AFL: Brownlow Medal Candidates 2025

The AFL 2025 Brownlow Medal is sure to be an exciting battle once again, with Nick Daicos hoping it will be a case of third time lucky.

The Brownlow Medal is the highest individual award an AFL player can win, and will be one of the highs of their career.

It is a huge deal in the AFL, and who will end up winning the Brownlow medal is a constant topic for discussion and debate throughout the season.

The Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player of the season in a glitzy ceremony in the week before the grand final.

And in 2025 there is a good chance the usual suspects will be battling it out for the prestigious award.

Let’s take a look at the very early contenders to win the Brownlow Medal.

Nick Daicos - 6.00

The gun Collingwood midfielder has just missed out on winning the Brownlow Medal in each of the last two seasons.

He is sure to be in the mix once again and can be backed at 6.00 to make it third time lucky and win the Brownlow Medal.

Irrespective of how Collingwood perform in the 2025 AFL campaign, Daicos is always in the thick of the action and will poll plenty of votes once again.

Patrick Cripps - 8.00

The Carlton star won the 2024 Brownlow Medal, beating Daicos with relative ease in the end.

The battle was expected to be close, but in the end Cripps ran away with it when picking up 45 points, which was a record for the Brownlow.

It was the second time that Cripps had won the Brownlow Medal and he will no doubt be gunning for number three in 2025.

Cripps can be backed at 8.00 to do just that, and all being well, he is sure to be in the frame once again.

Isaac Heeney - 11.00

Heeney had an outstanding season for Sydney in 2024 but picked up just 28 points in the Brownlow Medal count.

He finished equal fourth with Fremantle’s Caleb Serong and will be hoping to do even better in the season ahead.

Sydney will be out to make up for yet another disappointing grand final defeat, and Heeney will be key to their chances of grand final success.

The midfielder is 11.00 to win the Brownlow Medal.

Lachie Neale - 21.00

The Brisbane Lions midfielder is a bit more of a long shot to win the Brownlow Medal at 21.00.

However after picking up the award on two occasions, Neale picking up a third cannot be ruled out.

He picked up 22 points in 2024, the highest scoring Brisbane player, and despite being on the wrong side of 30, is showing no signs of slowing down.

Neale is set for another big season with the reigning premiers, so has to be viewed as a Brownlow Medal contender.
