Collingwood v Sydney: AFL Friday Preview

Collingwood will be targeting four wins on the spin when they face Sydney Swans on Friday night at the Adelaide Oval.

Gather Round continues in Adelaide, with the Pies and Swans going head-to-head in the second match of the round.

Collingwood have bounced back from losing the opening game of the season, to win the next three, and should be high on confidence.

The Adelaide Oval has also been a happy hunting ground for them in recent seasons so the trip will hold no fear for them.

Sydney are also back on track after winning their last two so should be feeling good about themselves ahead of the clash.

There was just three points in it the last time these two sides met and it could be another tight one on Friday night.

Pies love Adelaide

Collingwood have enjoyed great success at the Adelaide Oval, winning their last nine visits to the venue, so they will be relishing the clash.

They also head in to the game on a high having beaten Carlton, Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide in the last three games.

The Pies are bang on course for a top-four push, but cannot afford to take the foot off the gas against the Swans.

Josh was the star Daicos brother in the win over Carlton collecting 31 disposals compared to Nick’s 27.

Josh can be backed at 1.65 to collect 25+ against Sydney, while Nick is 1.28 to do the same.

Collingwood will be without Dan Houston however after he picked up a two-match suspension following an incident against Carlton.

Even without him, the Pies can be backed at 6.00 to win by either 1-12 or 13-24 points.

Swans back on track

After losing their opening two games, Sydney hit back with a hard-fought win at Fremantle, followed by a 65-point win at North Melbourne.

Now they are set for a tougher test against Collingwood, but do have a great recent record against the Pies.

Indeed they have won five of the last six meetings, including a three-point win against them in the last meeting.

It could be very close once again and the Swans are priced at 6.00 to win the game by 1-12 points.

Will Hayward and Joel Amartey both starred against North Melbourne when booting four goals each in the win.

Hayward is priced at 1.28 to kick another at anytime, while Amartey is 1.11.
