AFL: Hawks out to upset Giants

Hawthorn will be out to continue a fine run of form that has seen them move into finals contention, when they face Greater Western Sydney on Saturday.

The Hawks lost their opening five games on the season, but have gone on to win five of the next seven to move to 12th spot on the ladder.

They can be backed at 13.00 to make the top eight, but another win over the Giants and the supporters will really start to believe.

West Coast Eagles will be out to pick up their fourth win of the season when they take on North Melbourne at Optus Stadium.

The Kangaroos have lost all 11 games and are 1.20 to suffer most losses this season.

In the final game of the day, St Kilda will attempt to pick up rare back-to-back wins when they face the Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium.

Hawthorn will take on the Giants at UTAS Stadium in Launceston and have a good record at the venue, winning their last three games there.

They beat St Kilda by five points at the stadium earlier this season and can be backed at 5.50 to beat GWS by 1-12 on Saturday.

The Hawks have scored over 100 points in the last two games against Adelaide and Brisbane.

Dylan Moore booted five goals against Adelaide and is 13.00 to kick the first of the game against GWS.

The Giants snapped a three-game losing streak by winning at Geelong just before the bye.

They still have a host of injury problems but can be backed at 5.50 to get the job done and win by 13-24 points.

Eagles look to bounce back

. When: 16:35 (AEST), Saturday 8th June 2024

West Coast have won just three games this season, and all three have been at Optus Stadium.

However they have lost four of the last five games, including a defeat on home soil to St Kilda last week. In 2023 they won this fixture by just five points and are priced at 6.00 to win by 1-12 on Saturday night.

Liam Ryan booted three goals in the win over St Kilda, and is 11.00 to boot the first this week.

North Melbourne will see this as an opportunity to pick up their first win and should be fresh after the bye.

Saints set for Suns test

. What: St Kilda v Gold Coast
. Where: Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
. When: 19:30 (AEST), Saturday 8th June 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel

St Kilda finally returned to winning ways when edging out West Coast in Perth last week and will need to back it up against a Suns outfit that do not travel well.

The Suns have won all seven games at home this season, but have lost all five on the road.

They will be out to put that right at Marvel Stadium and can be backed at 6.00 to win by 1-12 points.

Ben King booted four goals in the 11 point win over Essendon and is 7.50 to kick the first of the game on Saturday night.
