Hawthorn got back on track in Round 13 with a much-needed win, and on Friday need another four points against Adelaide.

There were serious questions asked about their premiership credentials after they slipped to three defeats on the bounce, but a win over Western Bulldogs stopped the rot.

They now face another big test against another top-four hopeful, in the form of Adelaide, who sit third on the ladder.

The Crows are flying after winning four out of the last five games, including a win over Brisbane in Round 13.

They will fancy their chances against the Hawks, although a trip to Launceston, Hawthorn’s second home, make the mission a little more tricky.

It is a blockbuster of a clash on Friday night and one that should excite all AFL supporters.

Hawks love Launceston

Hawthorn take the Round 14 clash to their second home at the University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston, which could be a big advantage.

The Hawks have won the last seven games at the venue, which should give them a big confidence boost heading into the Crows clash.

Hawthorn completed the double over the Crows last season, winning home and away, in convincing fashion.

However the Crows are a different outfit in 2025 and the Hawks would take any kind of win against them.

They can be backed at 6.00 to win a tight game by 1-12 points.

Mabior Chol was back in form in the win over the Bulldogs, booting four goals to take his tally for the season to 24.

He can be backed at 1.25 to keep that run going by kicking another at anytime.

Crows are flying

Adelaide gave their chances of finishing in the top four a huge boost as they saw off the Brisbane Lions last week.

Now they get a chance to cement their spot in third with a win over top-four rivals Hawthorn.

Launceston will be tricky, but the Crows can take heart from the fact they were the last team to beat the Hawks at the venue.

They also head into the game as the hot fancies, and can be backed at 5.50 to edge the game by 1-12 points.

Josh Rachele and Ben Keays both starred in the win over the Bulldogs with three majors each.

Rachele can be backed at 12.00 to kick the first or last goal, or 1.18 to score at anytime.
