AFL: Hogan looks to keep Giants walking tall

Gather Round draws to a conclusion on Sunday with Greater Western Sydney looking to continue their strong start to the season.

The Giants have won their opening three games, and will be out to make it four when they take on the Gold Coast Suns at Adelaide Hills.

GWS are the hot fancies at 5.00 to win the 2024 grand final, but it is still very early days, and the wins need to keep coming.

Richmond will be out to build on their surprise win over Sydney last week when they take on St Kilda, who have won one and lost two so far this campaign.

And in the final game of the weekend, Collingwood will take on Hawthorn at the Adelaide Oval.

The reigning premiers finally got their first win of the season last week, and need to see off the Hawks as well.

GWS target four in a row

. What: Gold Coast v Greater Western Sydney
. Where: Adelaide Hills, Mt Barker
. When: 12:30 (AEST), Sunday 7th April 2024
. How to watch: Foxtel, Kayo
. Odds: Gold Coast 3.75, Greater Western Sydney 1.28

The Giants have dominated the Suns in recent seasons and have won 11 of the last 12 games between the two sides.

They have also managed to win by at least 40 points in the last three meetings and can be backed at 3.15 to win by 40+ on Sunday.

Jessie Hogan has starred when booting 12 goals this season and can be backed at 8.50 to grab the first of the game, or 1.04 to score at anytime.

The Gold Coast went down by 48 points to Western Bulldogs in the last game, after starting the season with two wins.

They are priced at 7.00 to bounce back and nick the game by 1-12 points.

Tigers hit by double blow

. What: Richmond v St Kilda
. Where: Norwood Oval, Adelaide
. When: 15:20 (AEST), Sunday 7th April 2024
. How to watch: Foxtel, Kayo
. Odds: Richmond 3.35, St Kilda 1.33

Richmond got their season up and running with a win over Sydney, only to be hit by a big double injury blow.

Tom Lynch and Noah Balta have both been ruled out, and they will need to find a way of getting the job done without the key duo.

Shai Bolton will be important, and after booting seven goals this season, he is 12.00 to get the first on Sunday.

The Saints will be out to bounce back from a defeat to Essendon, and are 5.50 to win by 13-24 points.

Pies look to kick on

. What: Collingwood v Hawthorn
. Where: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
. When: 17:10 (AEST), Sunday 7th April 2024
. How to watch: Foxtel, Kayo
. Odds: Collingwood 1.21, Hawthorn 4.50

Collingwood picked up their first win of the season when beating Brisbane last week, and nothing other than another victory over the Hawks will do.

Hawthorn are 0-3 for the season so far and it will be a major upset if they knock over the Pies in the final game of Gather Round.

But they did just that last season when beating Collingwood by 32 points. Collingwood won the previous two meetings by just six and four points, so they will be taking nothing for granted.

Collingwood are 5.00 to win by 25-36 points.
