Port Adelaide v Hawthorn: AFL Sunday preview

Gather Round in the AFL concludes with the highly anticipated showdown between Port Adelaide and Hawthorn at the Adelaide Oval.

Tempers boiled over when Port knocked Hawthorn out of finals last season and there is clearly no love lost between the two teams.

Hawthorn have made a great start to the season, sitting in second place on the ladder, and they will be desperate to take out some revenge on the Power.

Port Adelaide will be backed by a packed, hostile, Adelaide Oval, but they have just the one win to their name so far this season.

They will be fired up to pick up win number two against the Hawks, and there could be fireworks to wrap up another successful Gather Round.

Port need to find the Power

The Power have just one win to their name this season and that came against lowly Richmond at the Adelaide Oval.

They have lost their last two, but there has not been a great deal in it, going down by 12 points at Essendon, followed by a 17-point loss to St Kilda.

The defeat against the Saints was on home turf, so they will be determined to repay the Power faithful with a win this time around.

Port have won the last two games against the Hawks at the Adelaide Oval, but both were on a knife-edge.

The semi-final clash saw the Power win by just three points, while they won by one point in the Round 10 clash.

If it is to be that close again, Port are priced at 6.00 to win by 1-12 points.

Zak Butters collected 30 disposals against St Kilda and can be backed at 3.00 to do the same with 30+ against the Hawks.

Hawks rested and ready to go

Hawthorn have made the perfect start to the season, winning all four games, before taking a break for the bye.

Even more impressive is the fact that the Hawks have won all four games despite missing key players due to injury.

Will Day, who is facing a spell on the sidelines, is the latest, but once again they will be confident of getting the job done without him.

Jack Ginnivan was at the centre of the controversy in the semi-final loss and will be extra motivated to go well.

He booted two goals in that defeat and is priced at 1.37 to kick another at anytime in the rematch.

Hawthorn can also be backed at 5.50 to win by 1-12 points.
