AFL: Serong on song for Dockers

Carlton and Fremantle will be out to make it three wins on the spin when they face North Melbourne and Adelaide on Good Friday.

Both teams have started the season well, winning their opening two games, and have a great opportunity to make it three.

Carlton, who are 8.00 to win the premiership, take on North Melbourne, who have yet to win a game this season.

Fremantle entertain Adelaide, who are also 0-2 for the season so far, but there can be no room for complacency in the camp.

The Dockers have not started the season with two wins since 2013, when they went on to make the grand final, and they are 21.00 to win it 11 years later.

. Odds: North Melbourne 5.75, Carlton 1.14

North Melbourne will be kicking themselves after throwing away a great opportunity to beat Fremantle in their last game.

The Kangaroos were leading the Dockers by 32 points midway through the second quarter, but faded as the visitors came roaring back to win by 26.

There were some positives from the game, with Harry Sheezel producing 35 disposals, and he is priced at 4.33 to make 35+ against the Blues.

Carlton have started the season with two narrow wins over Brisbane and Richmond but will be hoping for a more comfortable win here.

They won by 23 points in the corresponding fixture last year and are 6.00 to win by 13-24 points this season as well.

Charlie Curnow will be the main threat in attack once again and is 6.50 to boot the first goal of the game.

Serong starring for Dockers

. What: Fremantle v Adelaide
. Where: Optus Stadium, Perth
. When: 18:20 (AEST), Friday 29h March 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel, Channel 7
. Odds: Fremantle 1.50, Adelaide 2.60

Fremantle showed great character to come from behind to win at North Melbourne last week and will be out to build on a great start against the Crows.

They have already beaten Brisbane at Optus Stadium this season and are the hot fancies heading into this one.

The Dockers have also won two of the last three meetings, which were all played in Adelaide, so they will be feeling confident on home soil.

Caleb Serong chipped in with another 35 disposals against North Melbourne to add to the 46 against Brisbane.

The in-form midfielder can be backed at 3.50 to produce 35+ against Adelaide.

Fremantle have been sharing the goals around, and Jye Amiss is 9.00 to kick the first of the game.

Adelaide have lost both games, but have not been flogged in either. Geelong beat them by 19 points at the weekend, while they lost by four on the Gold Coast the week before.

And in the form of Taylor Walker and Izak Rankine they have some players that can hurt Fremantle.
