The battle to finish the AFL campaign as the Top Non Victorian Club looks set to be a tight one in 2025.
The AFL is made up 10 Victorian sides, but there is also a strong representation of the other Australian states.
A number of those teams will be in the mix to win the grand final, but there is also bragging rights to be had by ending the season as the top club outside of Victoria.
Let’s take a closer look at the outright odds for the Top Non Victorian Club.
Brisbane - 3.75
Greater Western Sydney - 4.50
Sydney - 5.00
Fremantle - 6.00
Port Adelaide - 10.00
Brisbane - 3.75
Brisbane Lions are the reigning premiers after beating Sydney Swans in the 2024 grand final, but missed out on being the Top Non Victorian Club.
The Queenslanders finished fifth on the ladder at the end of the regulars season, but got their act together in finals.
It is rare a side wins the grand final when finishing outside of the top four, but the Lions did just that.
Chris Fagan’s side can be backed at 7.00 to go back-to-back and win the 2025 grand final.
However, if they were to miss out on another premiership, they still look the strongest side outside of Victoria and are 3.75 to be Top Non Victorian Club.
Greater Western Sydney - 4.50
Greater Western Sydney had a strong season in 2024 when finishing fourth on the ladder to earn a double shot in finals.
They will be out to build on that season by moving to the next level and the team for New South Wales have the roster to do just that.
The Giants are still searching for their first premiership in the AFL and are priced at 4.50 to be the Top Non Victorian Club in 2025.
Sydney - 5.00
Sydney won the minor premiership in the 2024 season and as a result took the accolade of being the Top Non Victorian Club.
However, they would have swapped all of that to win the grand final, but in the end they were completely outplayed by the Lions at the MCG.
Now all eyes will be on them to see how they respond to more grand final heartbreak.
The New South Wales outfit are 5.00 to be the Top Non Victorian Club once again in 2025.
Fremantle - 6.00
Hopes are high for Fremantle as they head into the 2025 campaign and they could be in the mix for Top Non Victorian Club.
There are just the two teams in Western Australia and the Dockers have had to live in the shadows of the West Coast Eagles at times.
Fremantle will begin the season as the top side in WA, but they would also love to be the top side outside of Victoria.
They are priced at 6.00 to do it, but will need a lot to go their way.
Port Adelaide - 10.00
Port Adelaide were almost the Top Non Victorian Club in 2024 when finishing the regular season in second place, just one win behind Sydney.
If the odds are anything to go by, they may struggle to repeat such and achievement, but the Power cannot be written off.
The South Australians are priced at 10.00 to cause a bit of an upset and be crowned the top team outside of Victoria.
