Australia v Pakistan White-Ball Series: Dates, schedule, venues and history

Fresh from their white-ball tour of England, Australia will have little time to rest before taking on Pakistan on home soil.

The Australian summer is fast approaching, with an intriguing five-Test series against India, arguably the highlight.

Before that gets underway Australia and Pakistan will go head-to-head in a One Day International series, quickly followed by some T20 action.

The T20 World Cup and Cricket World Cup are still some way away, but every cricket match for Australia is important, and series against Pakistan is no different.

It represents another opportunity for Australia to give game-time to those players looking to break into the T20 and ODI squads.

Here is everything you need to know about Pakistan’s trip down under.

One Day International series

First up is the One Day International series when Australia and Pakistan will clash on three occasions.

The first match of the series will take place at the MCG in Melbourne on 4th November, before they head to the Adelaide Oval for the second match on 8th November.

The series will be wrapped up on the 10th November when Australia and Pakistan battle it out at Optus Stadium in Perth.

T20 International series

Just like the ODI series, the T20 series will involve three matches.

The first match will be held at the Gabba in Brisbane on 14th November, before they head to the SCG in Sydney, two days later.

Tasmania then get the chance to host the third match, which will take place at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart.

That match will take place on 18th November.

Head-to-heads

Australia and Pakistan have played each other on 108 occasions in One Day Internationals, with Australia dominating.

They have won 70 of the matches, with Pakistan winning 34, three had no result and there was one tie.

Australia also won the most recent meeting in October 2023, beating Pakistan by 62 runs.

There was a three-match series between the two nations in 2022, and it was Pakistan who came out on top winning 2-1.

Australia won the first match, before Pakistan bounced back to win the next two and take the series.

When it come to T20 cricket, Pakistan have the edge over Australia, winning 13 of the 25 matches played.

Australia have won 11, with one match finishing with no result.

The last time the two sides met in a T20 international was back in April 2022. On that occasion, Australia won by three wickets.
