The five-year-old is a dual winner, however you have to go back to June last year to find his most recent victory, which came in a 1600m Class 1 at Gosford.
The gelding has registered some solid efforts in defeat this prep, however, including when beaten just over two lengths when fourth over 1680m here earlier this month.
This son of Smart Missile raced on a good track when contesting a Class 2 event that day, however his wet track record reads just one placed effort from 10 starts.
With that in mind, it can pay to look elsewhere for the winner with ONE REASON preferred for the Paul Wallace stable.
The selection has placed twice from six starts on wet tracks, including when third on his sole outing on the forecast heavy going.
That effort came when beaten two lengths in a 1200m Benchmark 60 handicap at Warwick at the end of January when racing first up last prep.
The gelding’s two subsequent efforts that prep were nothing special, including when four-and-a-half-lengths fifth over 1300m at Toowoomba in February.
However, the pick resumed with a good second, beaten three-and-a-half-lengths in a Class 1 1300m event at Toowoomba just under a month ago.
The Capitalist gelding looks ready for this step up in distance and jumping from barrier five is taken to record the second win of his career.

The six-year-old saw off eight rivals when jumping from next to the rail that day, however it’s of note that he was racing first up on that occasion.

His record second up is nowhere near as good and preference on this occasion is for BOLD PRINT.
Trained by Rachel Cunningham, the gelding won his first two starts this prep, including by nearly five lengths in a 1000m maiden at this circuit at the start of last month.
The son of Press Statement duly followed up when winning by over one-and-a-half-lengths in a Benchmark 64 handicap over the same track and trip later that month.
This four-year-old proved a disappointment when racing over this course and distance in a Benchmark 70 handicap subsequently, finishing fourth of seven.
While the form of that race hasn’t been properly tested, the third home has gone on to place second in a metro event at Sandown subsequently.
Jason Maskiell’s mount is better than he showed that day and he looks up to registering his third win in four starts this prep.
A heavy 10 track is expected for Scone with the fifth race of the day a 1300m Benchmark 82 handicap.
The Paul Messara & Leah Gavranich team saddle BROK CAFE here with the filly a proven wet track performer.
The four-year-old debuted with a win at Newcastle in July last year and she was spelled following that victory.
While the daughter of Mikki Isle failed to salute last prep, she did manage three placed efforts including in a Class 3 metro handicap over 1800m at Randwick in February.
The filly was spelled following that effort and dropped back in trip to 1200m when resuming in a Benchmark 58 handicap here earlier this month.
Broke Cafe came home one-and-a-half-lengths clear of her rivals that day and looks capable of completing a double.
