There are seven meetings set to take place on Sunday including at Wellington, where an eight-race card is scheduled.
They also race at Kyneton, Narrogin, Port Lincoln, Sale, Sunshine Coast and Wagga.
Comongin @ 5.50
Brial Rose @ 3.40
Miss Winslet @ 4.20
The feature race at the previously mentioned Wellington meeting is the penultimate race of the day, the 1100m Wellington Boot.
A good 4 track is expected for the set weights contest, with Invincible Phantom expected to start favourite for the 1000m contest.
The colt showed up well in his barrier trials prior to making his racecourse debut on the Kensington track at Randwick earlier this month.
Racing over this distance on a soft 5 surface, the son of I Am Invincible raced prominently on that occasion and similar tactics are expected in this event.
Dylan Gibbons is set to ride for the first time, with Bjorn Baker’s representative holding obvious claims.
Brett Robb’s gelding COMONGIN has more experience to his name with two previous starts and he is another to have trialled well ahead of his debut effort.
The 5.50 pick lost out by a length when contesting a 900m event held on a good 4 track at Scone at the end of January on debut prior to filling the same position on similar going at Quirindi.
The two-year-old stepped up to 1000m for that Quirindi event, however, it’s possible that being ridden with restraint didn’t suit that day.
Clayton Gallagher is a positive jockey booking here and, jumping from barrier six, his mount is selected to break through for his first win.
A good 4 track is expected at Wagga, with the sixth race of the day a 1000m Benchmark 66 handicap.
Danceenuff is expected to have her supporters on her first start since finishing last of eight over 1180m at Gundagai in November.
The mare was beaten three-and-a-half lengths in a Class 3 handicap on that occasion, having delivered a short-priced triumph over 1000m at Corowa.
That triumph, which came in a Benchmark 58 handicap, saw the mare race second up having resumed with a fourth in an 1100m metro event at Randwick in August.
The five-year-old had a valid excuse at Gundagai having returned with cardiac arrhythmia and apprentice Ella McGuirk takes three-kilograms off her back.
With a run under her belt this prep BRIAL ROSE is the selection on this occasion, with the filly having resumed with a half-length second at Albury last month.
The daughter of Denman was making her first start since finishing just over a length back in fourth in a 1050m Benchmark 58 handicap at Leeton in September that day.
The 3.40 four-year-old has gone well at this venue in the past placing in a couple of maiden contests over this track and trip on her first starts early last year.
Jason Lyon, on board for the filly’s maiden win at Narrandera in July, is up for the first time since and jumping from an inside barrier they are taken to record their second win together.
The finale at Sale is a 1400m Benchmark 58 handicap expected to take place on a soft 5 surface.
MISS WINSLET takes the eye here despite jumping from a wide barrier with apprentice Jett Stanley set to ride.
The four-year-old has made three appearances this prep, with all three of those coming in stronger contests than she tackles here.
The 4.20 pick lost out by less than a length over 1200m when placing third on the Lakeside track at Sandown early last month.
A switch to the Hillside course at the same venue saw the filly beaten less than two lengths in finishing fifth in a 1400m Benchmark 74 handicap later that month.
The daughter of Shamus Award has been freshened since that effort and, dropping in grade and switched to a country event, she is taken to register her third career win.
