Switch away from Melbourne is a positive and looks a worthy favourite if producing his 2021 form. Glenn Stevenson was on the mark with a double at Launceston on Wednesday and his Music Addition is preferred.

Below that form in three subsequent starts however including twice since returning from a short break. Gets an easier opportunity than when 13th over 1200m at Launceston at the end of last month however.

Impressive track record of three wins from five starts is a further positive as is the forecast soft 5 surface. Codi Jordan, on board for the geldings last four starts is up once more and from six the pair Music Addition looks up to delivering win number ten.

Mist for Cup success

The Tab Magic Millions Country Cup is an interesting Benchmark 75 event at Sunshine Coast. The race is set for 1000m with a good 4 track forecast. Situation Room is expected to have his supporters following a 2L length win over 1100m at Gold Coast first up.

That effort came in a Class 3 event earlier this month. Jockey Georgina Cartwright will need to get across from barrier seven if the Defcon gelding is to complete a front-running double.

You’ll Be Mist completed a hat-trick over 1010m at Ipswich on her penultimate start. Won by nearly half-a-length on a good 4 track at Benchmark 68 level that day.

Had previously won twice here and overcame an awkward start to finish fourth over this track and trip latest. Versatile with regards tactics and going the pick looks up to taking this out for Darryl Hansen and James Orman.

Faith for Geraldton triumph

The opener at Geraldton is a 1618m maiden set to take place on a good 4 track. Handler Julia Martin boasts a 20% strike-rate (10/49) at the track in the last year with Justa Lil Faith the first of six runners for her on the seven race card.

The selection showed ability in two starts last spell including when ninth over 1200m at Ascot in January. Given a break thereafter the pick returned with a one-and-a-half-length second over 1100m at Kalgoorlie.

Raced off the pace that day but raced more prominently when third in an 1100m maiden here latest. Gave slight issues at the start here last start but sets the standard on form here.

Shaped as if the step up in distance would suit that day. Booking of Natasha Faithfull is a further positive while a wide draw should prove no issue given she doesn’t have to make all.

King to rule at Moruya

The Narooma Cup over 1300m is set to take place as the seventh race on the Moruya card. King Gutho has placed on both starts at this venue including over 920m here in September.

That effort came on a heavy 10 track with quicker forecast here no issue. Subsequently acquitted himself well when mid-division in a metro 1200m event at Rosehill at the end of October on his penultimate outing.

Latest effort came when making all to score at Benchmark 66 level in a 1000m contest at Queanbeyan last month. Claimer Ruby Haylock, on board that day retains the ride and the pair are expected to prove hard to beat from barrier six.
