Montana Philpot takes a valuable two kilograms off the five-year-old’s back, with the pair expected to feature prominently in the betting.
Epaulette gelding PARADE GROUND is the selection here however, having registered a first up victory when contesting a Class 2 handicap here just under a month ago.
Jumping from barrier one, the four-year-old came home over a length clear of his nearest pursuer when jumping at $6 for a 1200m event.
Trained by Ricky Vale, the selection was winning for the second time at this track, having delivered a victory over 1500m on a wet track here in July last year.

The daughter of Too Darn Hot came home two-and-a-half-lengths clear of her rivals when contesting an 1860m maiden on a good surface that day.
