Australian Racing: Tell Us Toll to make rivals pay

There are three meetings set to take place on Tuesday with Tamworth, Ararat and Mackay all scheduled to play host to racing action.

Race 7 Tamworth

Deebo @ 4.60

Race 6 Mackay

Dance For Me Randy @ 4.80

Race 3 Ararat

Tell Us Toll @ 3.40

Deebo to triumph at Tamworth

An eight-race card is scheduled for Tamworth with the penultimate contest a 1400m Benchmark 58 handicap.

A good 4 track is forecast for the race, with Tavros expected to feature prominently in the betting for trainer Craig Martin.

The four-year-old recorded his first victory when successful by half-a-length in a 1400m maiden at Gunnedah in May.

Tvaros raced on a good 4 track that day and was spelled by connections following that triumph.

The son of Bull Point failed to shine when seventh of nine in a 1300m Class 1 handicap at Moree on his return to action.

Aaron Bullock’s mount is expected to have improved for that effort and he rates highly in this field.

Mark Mason-trained DEEBO is preferred here however, having placed third in both starts this prep.

The first of those saw him beaten just under two-and-a-half-lengths when contesting a 1200m Class 2 handicap at this venue in September.

Deebo raced on a soft 5 track that day but confirmed he handles quicker conditions when third lengths third on a good 3 at Muswellbrook earlier this month.

This five-year-old raced over 1280m in a Benchmark 58 handicap last time with the extra distance here not expected to pose any problems.

Deebo boasts a good barrier four from the rail and, having won at this track in the past, he looks capable of recording the third win of his career.

Dance to salute at Mackay

Trainer Georgina Bourke is set to saddle no fewer than four runners in the sixth race at Mackay.

Among those is likely favourite Time To Prophet, who won three times as a two-year-old.

All three of those victories came at Townsville including when ,winning by eight lengths in a 1200m handicap in April.

The filly was spelled following a fifth at the same venue in June and she resumed with a seventh dropped to 1000m at the same track recently.

While the daughter of Divine Prophet has an inside barrier here, stablemate DANCE FOR ME RANDY is preferred from a wide alley.

The pick is a previous course winner, having got home by a narrow margin when contesting a 1200m handicap on a good 4 track here in April.

Dance For Me Randy went on to register a success in a 1200m set weights contest held on a soft 5 track at Townsville two starts later.

The youngster returned from a spell with a narrow victory over 1200m when encountering a good 3 track at Innisfail at the start of this month.

Ashley Butler’s mount handles the wet underfoot conditions expected for this contest and is taken to complete a double.

Toll to break maiden

The third race at Ararat is an 1100m maiden contest set to take place on a soft 5 track.

Ballarat handler Mitchell Freedman is set to saddle the mare TELL US TOLL, with his representative having finished third twice from five career starts.

Tell Us Toll’s other three starts have all resulted in top-six finishes, including when beaten just under five lengths over 1000m on her home track last month.

The daughter of Nostradamus jumped at $21 when beaten just over two lengths in finishing third in an 1103m maiden at Kyneton earlier this month.

Tell Us Toll raced on a good 4 track that day and is expected to have no issues with the slightly softer going expected here.

Jarrod Fry’s mount looks to be tackling an easier contest than she did last time out and, jumping from barrier seven, can get off the mark at the sixth attempt.
