Soccer: Big Ange set for Gunners test

The English Premier League returns after the international break and it does not get any bigger than a North London derby for Ange Postecoglou.

So far Big Ange can do no wrong and his popularity is growing by the week as Tottenham are sitting pretty in second spot on the ladder.

However, they now have a couple of huge games coming up, starting with the derby clash against fierce rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

It is the stand-out fixture in the EPL this weekend, although Liverpool and West Ham fans might have something to say about that.

The Reds sit third on the ladder, with the Hammers just three places and three points below them.

Biggest test yet for Big Ange

It has been an electric start to Postecoglou’s career with Spurs. They are undefeated in the EPL and have won the last four games on the bounce.

They are priced at 2.50 to finish in the top four and play Champions League football next season, although some fans will be dreaming of much more if they can turn Arsenal and Liverpool over in the next two games.

Tottenham can be backed at 26.00 to win the Premier League this season, but Postecoglou will be keeping everyone’s feat on the ground, it is very early days.

With no Harry Kane, Son Heung-min has taken the captain’s armband and the responsibility of being the main goal-scorer.

The skipper has three already this season and can be backed at 3.10 to score at anytime against Arsenal.

Arsenal have also started the season well, and like Tottenham, have four wins and a draw.

The Gunners have beaten Manchester United and Nottingham Forest at home, while Fulham managed to hold them to a draw at the Emirates.

Bukayo Saka has chipped in with a couple of goals so far this season and can be backed at 6.50 to score the first goal of the game.

Considering these are two sides that love to attack, it is fair to say the derby clash will not be a cagey affair. Over 2.5 goals in the game is available at 1.53.

Reds out to keep pressure on

The other top of the ladder clash will see Liverpool entertain West Ham United at Anfield in another Sunday encounter.

Like Arsenal and Tottenham, Liverpool are on 13 points, and are viewed by many as the main threat to Manchester City winning the title this season. Liverpool can be backed at 8.00 to win it.

The Hammers have suffered just one defeat this season, and in fairness it was against Manchester City when they went down 3-1 at home just before the international break.

West Ham have a real threat in the shape of Jarrod Bowen, who has scored three goals this season, and the striker can be backed at 4.75 to score at anytime.

City flying high

Manchester City are again the team to beat this season and have won their opening five games, scoring 14 goals and conceding just three.

They are up against a Nottingham Forest side that will be happy with their start of two wins and a draw to sit in eighth.

Erling Haaland is on fire once again for City having bagged seven goals already.

The Norwegian looks sure to be among the goals again and he can be backed at 6.50 to score three or more, should City have a field-day.
