Brisbane Heat back on home soil

Brisbane Heat should be full of confidence after knocking over the reigning champions on their own patch on Sunday.

The Heat beat the Adelaide Strikers by four wickets at the Adelaide Oval, and back on home soil, they will be confident of making it two wins from two.

Brisbane restricted the Strikers to 133-5 after winning the toss and electing to bowl first, with Shikha Pandey taking 2-14.

Pandey will look to keep that form going, and can be backed at 5.50 to be Team – Top Bowler against the Renegades.

Jess Jonassen, who took just the one wicket, will be out to make more of an impact, and can be backed at 3.75.

The Heat then made light work of the chase, getting there with two overs to spare, but did lose six wickets in the process.

However Charli Knott kept hers, finishing on 44 not-out off 30 deliveries.

Knott is a big price at 7.00 to be Team – Top Batter, while Grace Harris is the hot fancy at 4.00.

Harris made 29 runs off 25 deliveries, while Jonassen scored 21 from 20.

Georgia Wareham key for Renegades

Georgia Wareham put in a star performance against the Sydney Sixers, but could still not prevent a three-wicket loss.

The star all-rounder scored 61 runs off 31 deliveries, while she also took three wickets for the loss of 26 runs off her three overs.

On another night that would have won her player of the match, but she looks a good chance of being in contention once again.

Wareham will also be in the mix to be Team – Top Bowler and Team Top -Batter, although Courtney Webb could challenge for the latter.

Webb scored 43 runs against the Sixers and looks to be in good touch.

They lost their first wicket for 58 runs and they are priced at 1.90 to have scored over 20.5 runs at the Fall of 1st Wicket against the Heat.
