Cox Plate: Date, how to watch, past winners, latest odds and more

The Cox Plate is viewed as the premier weight-for-age race in Australia and takes place at Moonee Valley racecourse at the end of October.

Australia has some huge races to look forward to throughout the year, including the Melbourne Cup and the Golden Slipper.

However, for the racing purists, the Group 1 Cox Plate is still viewed as the cream of the crop.

The queen of Australian racing, Winx, won the race on four occasions during her reign, and for many it does not get any bigger than the Cox Plate.

Here is our guide to the Cox Plate.
