Australia will quickly turn their attention to a One Day International series against England, with the first match set to take place on Thursday.
The T20 series against England finished level at 1-1 after the third and deciding match in Manchester on Sunday was washed out by the rain.
Now the focus switches to the One Day Internationals with fives matches set to be played within just 11 days.
The Aussies have brought in some heavy artillery for the ODIs, and another epic battle with the old enemy looks to be on the cards.
Let’s take a look at the schedule and team news for the One Day International series.
The first of five One Day Internationals between the two sides will take place at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Thursday.
Two days later the second match will take place at Headingley in Leeds, before the third match takes place at the Riverside Ground, Durham, on Tuesday 24th September.
The fourth match will take place at the ‘home’ of cricket in England, Lords, on Friday 27th September.
The series will then be completed on Sunday 29th September when England and Australia clash at the Seat Unique Stadium in Bristol.
There were some fresh faces in a new-look T20 side for the three-match series against England, but now the big guns are back.
With so many matches in just a short space of time, the Aussies are sure to tinker with their side throughout the series.
They certainly have the strength in depth to do it as captain Mitch Marsh has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal.
Swashbuckling all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been added to the squad and will be hugely influential with both bat and ball.
Top batsmen Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne also return, while the bowling attack will be boosted by the addition of Mitchell Starc.
There will be a good blend of youth and experience in the Australian squad, and Marsh says his players are fired up for what lies ahead.
Australia ODI squad: Mitch Marsh (c), Sean Abbott, Alex Carey, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cameron Green, Aaron Hardie, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Short, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa.
England will also make some changes for the One Day International series, with Harry Brook set to skipper the side.
Brook was rested for the T20 series following a busy English summer of Test cricket, but will return for the ODI’s.
He will skipper the side in the absence of Jos Buttler, who continues to battle back from a calf injury.
Young fast bowler Josh Hull will also miss the series through injury, but England have added Liam Livingstone to their 50-over squad.
Livingstone impressed in the T20 series, smashing 87 runs in the second match to help level the series at 1-1, and is sure to be a big threat.
England ODI squad: Harry Brook (c), Jofra Archer, Jacob Bethell, Brydon Carse, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Jamie Smith, Olly Stone, Reece Topley, John Turner.
