England v Australia second T20I: Aussies out to wrap up series win

Australia will be out to wrap up a T20 series win over England when the two sides clash once again in Wales on Saturday.

The Aussies have taken a 1-0 series lead after a convincing 28-run victory in the first match at the Rose Bowl, and are now targeting the series win.

Travis Head was the star of the show with a record-equalling knock and will be out to inflict more damage in the second match.

England handed debuts to a number of new players and it will be interesting to see if they keep the faith at Sophia Gardens, or make changes.

The tour of the UK is going well for the Aussies, who have now won their opening four T20 matches.

Now the plan is to make it five on the bounce, but wounded England will be desperate to win the match and level the series.

. What: England v Australia
. Where: Sophia Gardens, Cardiff
. When: 03:30 (AEST), Saturday 14th September
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel
. Odds: England 2.37, Australia 1.57

Head a man in form

Travis Head was in great touch with the bat in the opening match, smashing 59 runs off just 28 deliveries, to help set the Aussies up for the win.

Head scored 30 runs off one over, joining an illustrious list of Aussies, including Ricky Ponting, to have hit such heights.

The swashbuckling batsman admitted after the match that he is feeling in good form, and he will look to carry that into the second match.

Head can be backed at 3.75 to be Team – Top Batter once again, while Matt Short, who scored 41 in the first match, is priced at 4.50.

Despite winning the first match, Australia will be slightly disappointed they did not put on a big score after starting so well.

The middle order failed to deliver, and will be out to make amends on Saturday.

Sean Abbott impressed with the ball when taking three wickets as England were bowled out for 151 runs.

Abbott can be backed at 5.50 to be Team -Top Bowler.

Australia do have one injury concern heading in to the second match as Xavier Bartlett could be forced to sit out.

Bartlett pulled up with an injury in his final over and has to be a doubt for the last two matches of the series.

England to keep the faith

England handed debuts to three players in the first match, while Phil Salt captained the side for the first time.

Despite losing, the England camp seemed happy with the overall performance and look set to keep the faith with the same side.

However they will need more from their batting line-up and Liam Livingstone was the top scorer with 37 runs.

Livingstone is 6.00 to be Team – Top Batter, but the players above him, need to start piling on the runs.

Skipper Salt is 4.00 to be the top run scorer in the team.

Salt can also be backed at 9.50 to put in a captain’s performance and be named Player of the Match.
