The Heat started the season well with two wins on the bounce, but they have since gone on a losing streak and need a result.

A match with the struggling Adelaide Strikers could be just what they need to help them get back on track.

The Strikers are propping up the rest of the WBBL and will be hoping to pull off just their second win of the season.

Heat on losing streak

The Heat have had a week to forget after losing against the Perth Scorchers on Tuesday and then against the Sydney Thunder on Thursday.

After losing on home soil to Hobart Hurricanes last Saturday, they have now lost three on the spin.

There are some positives as Grace Harris continues to shine, scoring 41 runs against the Thunder while Charli Knott made 55.

However it was not enough as they were bowled out for 151 to lose by 19 runs.

Jess Jonassen also caught the eye with 3-22 off four overs, but the Heat will need a team performance if they are to get the better of the Strikers.

The Heat beat the Strikers by four wickets when they met at the end of October, and they would no doubt take the same again.

Knott was again top batter in that match when scoring 44 not-out.

Strikers in need of a boost

It has been a tough WBBL campaign for the Strikers, who have won just the one game so far.

That came when they shocked the Sydney Sixers to win by 11 runs, but they could not build on the win and have lost the last two.

They can think themselves unlucky when they lost a thriller against the Melbourne Renegades on Sunday, and will be desperate to bounce back.

The Strikers do have players that can cause damage, as Tahlia McGrath showed with a 64 not-out performance against the Renegades.

She has a 33.71 average over the last 10 matches and will be key to the Strikers chances of getting a win on the board.
