Melbourne Renegades are bottom of the Big Bash table but they still have a slim chance of making the finals if they can overcome Brisbane Heat on Saturday.
The Heat missed an opportunity to boost their play-off hopes when they suffered a final-ball defeat to in-form Hobart Hurricanes last time out.
The defending champions need a victory over the Renegades at Marvel Stadium but they will be missing Australia Test batters Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne, who top-scored with 77 against the Hurricanes.
Brisbane Heat eased to a six-wicket victory over Melbourne Renegades at Marvel Stadium on their way to the title last season and they are 1.87 for a successful raid on Saturday.
The Heat welcome back skipper Colin Munro from injury for a must-win fixture against the Renegades, who are still in the hunt for the finals despite losing six of their nine games.
Munro is 6.50 to be Brisbane's Top Batter but number four Matt Renshaw, priced up at 4.50, is the form player in their top order after scores of 48 not out, 34 and 40 in his last three innings.
Renshaw also slammed 54 off 27 balls in the early-season win over Adelaide Strikers and he anchored the Heat's run-chase at Marvel Stadium in 2023/24, finishing unbeaten on 49 from 37 deliveries.
Jake Fraser-McGurk struck seven sixes in a blistering innings of 55 in that game and he is 8.00 to hit the most match sixes on Saturday.
The Renegades youngster has had a tough 2024/25 campaign, with a top score of just 26 from nine innings, and he has cleared the ropes only four times this season.
Brisbane Heat fast bowler Spencer Johnson peaked at the business end of the 2023/24 Big Bash season, producing three superb displays in the finals.
Johnson took 2-14 from four overs against Sydney Sixers in the Qualifier, 3-20 against Adelaide Strikers in the Challenger and was named Player of the Match in the final after claiming 4-26 in the victory over the Sixers.
The left-arm quick is having another impressive campaign, taking 4-20 against Perth Scorchers in his first appearance on Boxing Day.
Johnson's more recent exploits include 3-39 against Sydney Thunder and 3-26 against a rampant Hurricanes batting unit, dismissing well-set openers Caleb Jewell and Mitchell Owen as well as the dangerous Tim David.
The Heat star is 15.00 to be named Player of the Match against a Renegades side who have struggled with the bat all season.
And Johnson is well worth considering at 2.00 to take over 1.5 wickets, especially as all 20 wickets fell in the most recent fixture at Marvel Stadium, where Melbourne Stars were bowled out for 165 before dismissing the Renegades for 123.
