Following a washout in the opening encounter of the series, New Zealand Women and Australia Women convene at the Basin Reserve in Wellington for the second one-day international.
The forecast is much better for the second match of the series on Saturday and Australia Women are unsurprisingly favourites to prevail at 1.16, while hosts New Zealand Women are 5.00 shots.
New Zealand Women last played in the format back in October, slipping to a 2-1 defeat to India Women, although there were plenty of positives to take from the series.
Having last lost an ODI match back in February, Australia Women came into this series with New Zealand Women in terrific form.
Most recently, the Aussies enjoyed a 3-0 series thrashing of India, winning the first match by five wickets, the second by 122 runs and the third by 83 runs.
That series triumph will have done their confidence the world of good with the Women's ODI World Cup taking place in India next October and they will want to lay down a marker against New Zealand Women too.
Annabel Sutherland was the player of the series for Australia against India, striking 110 in the final ODI, and she is 8.50 to be her team's top scorer in this second ODI.
Australia skipper Alyssa Healy could return from a knee injury to feature in this match and she is 5.00 to top score for her team, while Phoebe Litchfield is 4.33 and Ellyse Perry is a 4.75 shot.
As for hosts New Zealand, they have a couple of key injuries to contend with heading into this second ODI.
Veteran pace bowler Lea Tahuhu has been ruled out of the series with a hamstring injury sustained in a domestic match with Canterbury Magicians recently, while a bone stress reaction has ruled out opening batter Georgia Plimmer.
As a result, Bella James has been handed her maiden call-up for New Zealand Women and she is 9.00 to top score for her side with Sophie Devine leading the betting at 3.60.
Captain Devine struck 79 in her team's 76-run win over India in the second ODI of their series in October, although she was underwhelming in the other two matches of the series.
With Tahuhu out, there will be more pressure on Amelia Kerr to impress with the ball and she is a 3.75 shot to be New Zealand Women's top bowler in this ODI.
