The Women's Ashes clashes are just around the corner, but first Australia will be put to the test when they head to New Zealand for a three-match one-day international series.
The White Ferns, who enjoyed success earlier this year as they won the Women’s T20 World Cup, have called up Bella James for the first time, with Georgia Plimmer missing due to a hip injury.
Australia will be missing spinner Sophie Molineux due to a knee injury, but captain Alyssa Healy returns to the fold after a knee problem of her own.
The three ODIs will be played over a five-day period, with the series opener taking place on Thursday 19 December, the second match on Saturday 21 December and the final match on Monday 23 December.
All three ODIs are day games and have a scheduled start time of 09:00 AET.
The series will take place at just one venue, with all three ODIs to be played at Basin Reserve in Wellington.
Basin Reserve first staged international cricket back in 1930 and has also been used regularly for rugby union, rugby league and soccer.
New Zealand Women v Australia Women will be available to watch in Australia on Kayo and Foxtel.
These two teams have met a massive 133 times in one-day internationals in the past, with the Southern Stars holding a huge head-to-head lead of 100 wins to 31 losses and two no-results.
The recent record is also overwhelmingly in Australia’s favour, with the Baggy Green having won all of the last 13 ODIs between these two sides, who have not met in 50-over cricket since March 2022.
There are no odds currently available for this series, but they will be released nearer to the time of the first match.
