Perth Scorchers Women and Sydney Thunder Women will be battling for top spot on the WBBL ladder when they clash for the second time this week on Friday.
The Scorchers and Thunder are two of five teams locked on eight points, but the winner will jump straight to the top of the pile.
Perth came out on top on Tuesday, ending the Thunder’s winning streak with ease, setting up a mouthwatering re-match.
There is also a Melbourne derby to look forward to as the Stars and Renegades go head-to-head at the MCG.
The Scorchers will be out to inflict more misery on the Thunder when the two sides clash at the MCG.
In a game that was interrupted by floodlight issues, the Scorchers romped to a 74-run victory on Tuesday.
Having won the toss and deciding to bat, they made 171-7 with Sophie Devine leading the way with 48 runs off 34 deliveries.
Dayalan Hemalatha also made 41 off 26 deliveries, before the Thunder were bowled out for just 97 runs.
Amy Edgar took 3-19, but it was Chloe Ainsworth who was named player of the match after taking 2-15 off her four overs.
Phoebe Litchfield has been in great form for the Thunder, but could only muster 27 before falling to Edgar.
Melbourne Renegades are hitting form at just the right time having won the last two games on the bounce.
One of those victories was a 15-run win over the Stars when the two sides clashed on Saturday. They then backed that up with a nine-wicket win over Adelaide Strikers on Monday.
Hayley Matthews was player of the match in the win over the Strikers when finishing 85 not-out, while she also took 2-28 off four overs.
The Stars have now lost their last two games and are in desperate need of a win to keep their finals hopes alive.
Star batter Meg Lanning and key all-rounder Annabel Sutherland will be key to their chances of getting a result.
