Sydney Thunder can consolidate top spot on the WBBL ladder with a win over city rivals the Sydney Sixers on Sunday.
The Thunder are having a strong campaign and, after winning four of the last five games, find themselves at the top of the pile with 10 points.
The Sixers are not going quite as well and head into the derby showdown looking to snap a two-match losing streak to keep them in finals contention, but will have to do so without Alyssa Healy, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to a knee injury.
In Sunday’s other Big Bash Women 2024 clash, Melbourne Stars entertain Brisbane Heat.
Sydney Thunder gained revenge on the Perth Scorchers with a seven-wicket victory that took them to the top of the ladder.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Scorchers made 170-5, but the Thunder managed to go one better and got there with six balls to spare.
That was mainly down to the performance of Georgia Voll, who finished on 97 not out to scoop the player-of-the-match award.
The knock came off 56 deliveries and Voll will be leading the way to be team top batter once again.
The Sixers will be out for revenge after losing to the Thunder by 18 runs last Sunday, while they also lost by 12 runs to the Heat on Thursday, but the confirmed absence of Australia ace Healy is a massive blow.
That was despite the best efforts of Amelia Kerr, who took 4-23 from her four overs.

Brisbane are targeting a third win on the bounce to keep them in the top four.
The Heat beat the Sixers by 12 runs in their last match as Grace Harris top-scored with 39 runs.
However, it was Jess Jonassen who won the player-of-the match after taking 3-24 form four overs to peg the Sixers back in their run chase.
The Stars are on a shocking run of form after losing the last three games on the spin.
The Melbourne outfit have been struggling to put big runs on the board and could do with the likes of Meg Lanning returning to top form.
Melbourne Stars - 2.10
