Tour de France 2025 outright odds: Pogacar the man to beat

Defending champion Tadej Pogacar is once again the cyclist they all have to beat when the 112th edition of the Tour de France gets underway next weekend.

The Slovenian already has three Tour de France victories to his name and is the defending champion after dominating in 2024, while he also took the honours in both 2020 and 2021.

Pogacar is the hot fancy heading into the race, but a number of top-class rivals will be waiting to pounce should he suffer any misfortune.

Among them 2022 and 2023 winner Jonas Vingegaard, who looks to be the biggest threat to Pogacar and his hopes of picking up victory number four.

There are others who will be in the mix over the 21 stages of racing and there are sure to be fireworks over the three weeks.

Let's take a look at the latest outright odds

Tour de France outright odds

Tadej Pogacar - 1.36
Jonas Vingegaard -
3.25
Remco Evenepoel -
11.00
Joao Alemida -
19.00
Ben O'Connor -
151.00

Tadej Pogacar - 1.36

Tadej Pogacar is on his way to becoming the greatest cyclists of all time and is the one to beat at the 2025 Tour de France.

If the UAE Team Emirates riders avoids misfortune then he looks set to secure his fourth Tour de France yellow jersey.

Pogacar has been in great form in 2025 and comfortably won the Criterium du Dauphine ahead of Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel.

He showed he was human with a poor time trial at the Dauphine, but bounced back well to take out the general classification with ease.

Jonas Vingegaard - 3.25

Dane Jonas Vingegaard is seen as the only man capable of stopping Pogacar, as he did in both 2022 and 2023, when he won the Tour de France.

Vingegaard has once again had a disrupted lead-up to the Tour de France, missing Paris-Nice due to a concussion.

He looked good at the Dauphine, finishing second on five stages, which suggests he is ready to go.

The fact that Visma-Lease a Bike have put a strong team around him also gives him hope of toppling Pogacar.

Remco Evenepoel - 11.00

Belgian Remco Evenepoel had a lengthy off-season due to injury and, although he has recovered well, he has not looked at his best so far in 2025.

Evenepoel will be the hot fancy to take out the two time-trial stages, but that will not be enough to win him the Tour de France GC.

It will be decided in the high mountains and as things stand he is someway behind both Pogacar and Vingegaard,

Ben O'Connor -151.00

From an Australian perspective, Ben O'Connor is the best hope to go well in the general classification as he prepares to lead Team Jayco AlUla.

The West Australian has proven himself to be a more than capable general classification rider on the world tour, finishing second at last year's Vuelta a Espana.

He also has form at the Tour de France, having finished fourth overall in the 2021 edition of the race.

Being the leader of Jayco AlUla, the team will be going all in for him, in the hope that he can shine over the three weeks.

A top five finish would be viewed as a huge success for O'Connor.
