Australian boxing fans will be glued to their TV screens on Sunday to see if Joseph Goodall can pull off a surprise and defeat Nigerian star Efe Ajagba.

Sunday’s fight is a huge opportunity for Australian Goodall to show what he can do on the biggest of stages.
Goodall is keen to put himself in a position to fight for a world title, and if he can pull off a surprise and defeat Ajagba, he will move a step closer to that dream.
Ajagba is also hoping to challenge for a world title sooner rather than later and he cannot afford any slip ups against Goodall.
These two have already fought as amateurs at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow back in 2014. Goodall earned a decision in the semi-finals, but a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.

The 29-year-old will be making his third appearance of 2023 after winning two fights earlier in the year.
Ajagba beat Zhan Kossobutskiy via fourth-round disqualification in his last fight in August, while he also scored a unanimous decision against Stephan Shaw back in January.
Goodall currently has a record of 10-1-1.
Nine of his wins have been via a knockout, giving him a knockout percentage of 90%.
The 31-year-old also fought Stephen Shaw in July 2023, beating him via a sixth-round TKO. This is the third time he will step into the ring in 2023.
