Empire Rose Stakes history

The Empire Rose Stakes is a relatively new race, and was held for the very first time in 1988.

Then it was a Listed Race and was known as The Honda Legend, before earning Group 1 status in 2004.

There have been various names for the race, but from 2018 onwards it has been named the Empire Rose Stakes, after the champion mare Empire Rose.

Concordance was the first winner of the race back in 1988, while Pride Of Jenni won the 2023 edition of the Empire Rose Stakes.
