Coming out on top in the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix last time out, Oscar Piastri will be determined to extend his lead at the top of the Drivers’ Championship at the Miami Grand Prix in the early hours of Monday morning.
Many expected the 2025 F1 title race to be another head-to-head between reigning champion Max Verstappen and Lando Norris like last season.
However, Australian star Piastri has been showing he was underestimated before the first green light of the campaign and he’s not here to make up the numbers.
Piastri has thrust himself to the head of the Drivers’ Championship thanks to victories in China, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Leading McLaren team-mate Norris by 10 points, a positive performance in Miami could see Piastri extend his Drivers’ Championship advantage in Florida.
Oscar Piastri - 2.37
Lando Norris - 2.37
Max Verstappen - 6.00
George Russell - 15.00
Charles Leclerc - 19.00
Lewis Hamilton - 34.00
Oscar Piastri - 2.37
Having taken the chequered flag in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, Piastri is going in search of a third consecutive victory on Monday at the Miami Grand Prix.
The Melbourne star struggled in this particular race last season, finishing down in 13th place at the Miami International Autodrome.
However, the 24-year-old has come on leaps and bounds since his last visit to Florida and he’s the joint 2.37 favourite to take the chequered flag in Miami this time around.
Lando Norris - 2.37
Since claiming the win in the opening race of the season at the Australian Grand Prix, it’s been a somewhat frustrating spell for Norris.
Failing to win any of the following four races and finishing down in fourth place at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix last time out, Norris is desperately seeking a route back to the top of the podium.
Monday’s race should prove to be another intriguing battle between the Brit and Piastri for the chequered flag.
Norris won the Miami Grand Prix last season and is 2.37 to win again on Monday.
Max Verstappen - 6.00
Reigning champion Verstappen currently finds himself in third place in the Drivers’ Championship, with 12 points between himself and frontrunner Piastri.
Winning the Japanese Grand Prix earlier this season, Verstappen’s victory at Suzuka has been his only victory after five races this term.
Finishing second in Saudi Arabia last week and a two-time previous winner of the Miami Grand Prix, Verstappen should certainly not be underestimated on Monday and he’s 6.00 to take the chequered flag in Florida.
