The World Cup final is the pinnacle of the game and the 2022 edition takes place in Lusail, Qatar on Sunday 18th December.
It will be the 64th and final game of the 22nd World Cup and will be held at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, which is the biggest stadium being used for Qatar 2022, with a tournament capacity of 80,000.

The World Cup Final is always the closing match of the global showpiece and is usually played on the second weekend in July.
However, the different timing of the World Cup means that, for the first time, the final will be held in December. Sunday 18th December to be precise, with the game set to kick-off at 15:00 UK time.
The World Cup final will be held at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, in Lusail, which is located around 23km north of the Qatari capital Doha.
The stadium was opened in September 2021, with construction having started in April 2017.
The Lusail Iconic Stadium will host 10 games during the World Cup 2022. The first will be on 2nd November when Argentina take on Saudi Arabia in Group C.

It will also host a match in each of the knockout stages and its design is an ‘echo of the intricate decorative motifs on bowls and other vessels characteristic of the golden age of art and craftsmanship in the Arab and Islamic world’.
Every game of the World Cup will be shown on terrestrial television in the UK, with the BBC and ITV sharing rights for the coverage.
That includes the final, with both broadcasters expected to broadcast the match.
This will be the 22nd edition of the World Cup final. The first match was held at Montevideo's Estadio Centenario and saw hosts Uruguay beat Argentina 4-2 in 1930.
Pablo Dorado opened the scoring for La Celeste, before their neighbours took the lead thanks to goals from Carlos Peucelle and Guillermo Stabile.
However, Uruguay hit back with goals from Pedro Cea, Santos Iriarte and Hector Castro.
Brazil's tally of five World Cup titles means they have won the most World Cup Finals, triumphing in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.
In all, the Selecao have played in seven World Cup Finals, losing out in 1950 and 1998.
Germany are the country that have played the most World Cup Finals, making eight appearances. They won the tournament as West Germany in 1954, 1974 and 1990, before triumphing as a unified nation in 2014. They lost out in 1966, 1982, 1986 and 2002.
Italy have played in six finals, winning the tournament four times, while Argentina have won two of their five World Cup Final appearances.
Brazil are the 9/2 favourites to win the World Cup Final, while they are 5/2 to reach the showpiece match. They will be chasing a sixth tournament victory at Qatar 2022.
The 1966 winners England are 11/4 to reach the final and 11/2 to win the World Cup.
Reigning champions France are 6/1 and 11/4 to reach a second successive final, while Argentina are 7/1 to win the World Cup Final and 2010 champions Spain available at 8/1.
