The Masters 2025: Min Woo Lee leads Aussie charge

The Masters gets underway at Augusta this week and five Australians will be bidding to win the famous Green Jacket in Georgia.

It has only been done once before, with Adam Scott winning the Masters in 2013, and it will take something special to match that achievement in 2025.

Scott is among the five Aussies hoping to go well at Augusta, but of course it is a stacked field for the first Major of the year, and the competition will be hot.

Let’s take a look at Australia’s hopes ahead of the Masters 2025.

US Masters

Min Woo Lee

The 26-year-old looks to be Australia’s best hope of winning the Masters and can be backed at 51.00 to win the Green Jacket.

Lee won his first PGA Tour event last month when taking out the Houston Open so should be full of confidence.

The West Aussie held off Scottie Scheffler, who is the hot fancy at 5.70, to win the Houston Open and if he can repeat such form, will be in the mix.

Lee finished T22 last year and has shot a six-under 30 on the front nine at Augusta, equalling the record.

Cameron Smith

Smith has a Major in the bag already when winning the Open Championship, and will be out to add a Green Jacket to his wardrobe.

The Queenslander just had a top-10 finish at LIV Golf Miami and will be heading to Augusta in good form.

Smith has five top-10 finishes in his last eight starts at Augusta, so it is a course that suits his game, and he has been fine-tuning it in the build-up.

He can be backed at 66.00 to win the Masters.

Jason Day

Day who is another Major winner, has a solid record at the Masters, with T2 being his best placed finish.

He has also finished third and T5, so has the game to go well at Augusta if everything clicks into place this week.

He heads into the Masters with two top-10 finishes under his belt so looks to be in good touch.

Day is 81.00 to win the Masters.

Adam Scott

Scott is the only Australian to win the Masters and can be backed at 141.00 to win a second Green Jacket.

He has not been in great form on the PGA Tour so far this season, but a return to Augusta, which holds great memories, could give him a lift.

Scott has made the cut on 15 straight occasions and will be gunning to make it 16 this week.

Cameron Davis

Davis is the big outsider of the Aussie contingent and is priced at 301.00 to cause a huge upset and win the Masters.

He is not in good form, missing the last four cuts in a row, but showed he can play at Augusta when finish T12 in 2024.
