Bryson DeChambeau is the reigning US Open champion after taking the honours at Pinehurst resort in 2024.

It was the second time that DeChambeau has won the US Open, finishing on six under par.

Since 1898 the US Open has been a stroke play tournament played over 72 holes.

There have been some famous winners of the US Open, including Jack Nicklaus, who won it on four occasions.

More recently, Tiger Woods has won the US Open three times.

Curtis Strange went back-to-back in 1988 and 1989, while the likes of Tom Watson, Lee Trevino and Arnold Palmer has also won the US Open.
