With the Finals places locked for the 2023 NRL season, eight teams will battle it out to determine who will reach the Grand Final at Accor Stadium on 1st October.
Here’s a look at the eight teams and their outright odds to go all the way and lift the Provan-Summons Trophy in Sydney.
What | NRL Grand Final |
Where | Accor Stadium, Sydney |
When | 18:30 (AEST), Sunday 1st October |
How to watch | Channel 9 |
Penrith Panthers - 2.40
Reigning champions Penrith Panthers are the current favourites as the season enters the Finals stage.
Pipping the Brisbane Broncos to top spot at the end of the regular season, Penrith once again look like the team to beat this year.
First up for the Panthers is a home clash against the New Zealand Warriors, who have been one of the surprise packages in the NRL this season.
Brisbane Broncos - 3.30
The team that had to settle for second place on the ladder, there has been plenty to like about the Brisbane Broncos this season.
Brisbane will kick-off the Finals on Friday night when they play host to Melbourne Storm in what is set to be a mouthwatering encounter at Suncorp Stadium.
Melbourne Storm - 6.50
Melbourne will be looking for more of the same against the Broncos on Friday night having played Brisbane in their final game of the regular season.
Winning 32-22 at Suncorp Stadium, Melbourne will be hoping that’s the dress rehearsal for progress further into the postseason.
New Zealand Warriors - 12.00
As mentioned as a surprise package this season, New Zealand Warriors will not want their campaign to fall at the first hurdle in the Finals.
It will be a daunting task against the reigning champions Penrith but, with playmaker Shaun Johnson in their ranks, anything is possible.
Newcastle Knights - 17.00
Newcastle Knights will have the benefit of home advantage in their Finals game this weekend as they host the Canberra Raiders.
The Knights impressed on their way to finishing fifth on the NRL ladder but will need to overcome some substantial hurdles to reach the Grand Final.
Sydney Roosters - 26.00
The Sydney Roosters scraped their way into the top eight this season and there will be doubts over how far the former champions can progress.
The Roosters must first overcome the Sharks, who will fancy their chances of winning on home soil to continue their season for at least another week.
Cronulla Sharks - 26.00
The Sharks finished the regular season in sixth place with 14 wins from their 24 games. A home match against the Roosters is first up in what might well be a tight contest.
Canberra Raiders - 101.00
The rank outsiders for Grand Final glory, Canberra Raiders will need a few shocks if they are to be crowned champions this year.
First up is a trip to Newcastle Knights, before even sterner tests to potentially follow.
