Jason Day is one of Australia’s most successful golfers having picked up 18 professional wins throughout his career so far.

The 35-year-old has been one of the stars of the PGA Tour and was ranked number one in the world for 51 weeks in 2015.

The Queenslander’s biggest success also came in 2015 when he won the PGA Championship by three strokes from America’s Jordan Spieth.

Day has also finished second at the other three majors – the Masters, Open Championship and US Open Championship.

Where is Jason Day from?

Day was born in Beaudesert, Queensland and at the age of eight the family moved to Rockhampton where he started to win tournaments in the surrounding areas.

Day, his wife and five children, now live in Westerville, Ohio, in the United States.

Day has so far earned $54million in his career, with a good chunk of that coming in 2015 when he won five tournaments.

Not only did Day win the PGA Championship, he also won the Farmers Insurance Open, the RBC Canadian Open, The Barclays and the BMW Championship.

2016 was also a big year for day when he won The Players Championship, which is often referred to as the ‘fifth major’, along with the Arnold Palmer Invitational and WGC-Dell Match Play.

Day’s caddie is currently Luke Reardon, and the pair have been together since 2017.

Up until that point, Day had worked with a number of caddies, including Colin Swatton, who was on the bag for 11 years.

When Day and Swatton went their separate ways in 2017, Day turned to Reardon, who he knew from high school days.

The duo have been together ever since.
