The 2024 NRL season will kick-start in spectacular fashion with a double-header played out in the USA with Paradise, Las Vegas, Nevada hosting the action.
Here’s all we know so far ahead of these two exciting games out in the Mojave Desert.
The 2024 NRL double-header to start the season will take place on Saturday 2nd March, with specific kick-off times for the games still to be determined.
Allegiant Stadium, the home of NFL side the Las Vegas Raiders, will be hosting NRL action for the first time.
Opened in 2020 in Paradise, Nevada, the stadium has a 65,000 capacity for NFL games, which is expandable to 71,835.
At a cost of US $1.9million, Allegiant Stadium is a magnificent modern stadium that will provide a unique experience for those lucky enough to be there for the NRL action in March.
The teams have been confirmed for the NRL double-header on 2nd March, with the Sydney Roosters facing the Brisbane Broncos and the Man Sea Eagles taking on the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
All four teams will be hoping to get off to strong starts to their NRL season in Vegas, as they look to prevent Penrith Panthers from winning their fourth successive title next year.
The Broncos came so close to denying the Panthers in the grand final this year but just fell short against the reigning champions, losing 26-24 in Sydney.
Brisbane will have to dust themselves down and go again in their opener against the Roosters.
Meanwhile, the rivalry between the Sea Eagles and the Rabbitohs will get an exciting new chapter when they meet in Vegas in March.
These sides first met back in 1951 and have played out some thrilling encounters since.
Manly underwhelmed last season as they finished down in 12th place in the table at the end of the regular season.
Yet, in what proved to be such a congested mid-table, the Sea Eagles were just three points off a top-eight finish and will know small improvements across the park can see them challenging in the playoffs once again.
Looking to next season’s grand final winner odds, Brisbane are 4.00 to get over the final hurdle and claim the title in 2024.
The Rabbitohs are 9.50 to stop the Panther’s reign of domination, while the Roosters are 10.00 with the Sea Eagles outsiders at 23.00 to claim the title.
