NRL: Eels rocked by Moses blow

Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers have the potential to serve up another feast when they go head-to-head on Easter Monday.

This clash has provided plenty of excitement in the last two seasons and there has been very little separating the Western Sydney rivals.

The Eels are desperate to win the grand final in 2024 and can be backed at 23.00 to do just that, but they will have to spend some time without the inspirational Mitchell Moses.

The Tigers are 7.00 to make the top eight, and although there is a lot of hard work to be done, there have been some encouraging signs.

CommBank Stadium will be packed and the atmosphere will be hot, so there is a lot to look forward to when the Eels and Tigers clash.

. What: Parramatta Eels v Wests Tigers
. Where: CommBank Stadium, Sydney
. When: 15:00 (AEST), Monday 1st April, 2024
. How to watch: Foxtel, Kayo
. Odds: Parramatta Eels 1.45, Wests Tigers 2.75

Huge Moses blow for Eels

The Eels have made a solid start to the season with two wins from three, but have been hit by a massive blow on the injury front.

Star playmaker Mitchell Moses has suffered a fractured foot, meaning the Eels could be without his services for up to two months.

The Eels have strength in depth, with starlet Ethan Sanders now set to get an opportunity, but it is big loss nonetheless.

Bryce Cartwright has also been ruled out through injury, but there is some good news for Parramatta, with winger Maika Sivo set to return from suspension.

Sivo has scored eight tries in eight games against the Tigers, and is priced at 8.50 to score the first of the game.

In 2023 the Eels came out on top in this fixture, but only just, winning by just six points.

If we are in for another close one, the Eels can be backed at 6.50 to win by 6-10 points.

Tigers out to cause upset

The Tigers have struggled against the Eels in recent history, winning just one game in the last 10 meetings.

However that came in 2022, when after losing the opening eight games of the season, they caused a huge upset when beating the Eels by a point.

They can be backed at 7.50 to repeat the achievement and win by 1-5 points.

The Tigers are going through a rebuild under new head coach Benji Marshall but can take a lot of heart by the way they demolished Cronulla Sharks last week.

Jahream Bula scored a couple of tries in the 32-6 win and is 3.20 to score at anytime on Monday.

Marshall will be forced to make one change to the side that beat the Sharks, with Alex Twal ruled out through concussion.
