NRL: Manly target three on the spin

Manly Sea Eagles have caught the eye in their opening two games and another win over Parramatta Eels will be the order of the day.

The Sea Eagles were some people's roughies for the premiership heading into the tournament, and they have now shortened to 16.00 after a solid start.

Another victory at Parramatta really would make people stand up and take notice, despite it still being very early days.

Parramatta are 23.00 to win the grand final and have begun the season with a win and a loss.

There was no shame in the defeat to Penrith last week, but they will be very keen to bounce back on home soil on Sunday afternoon.

Eels look to bounce back

. What: Parramatta Eels v Manly Sea Eagles
. Where: CommBank Stadium, Sydney
. When: 15:05 (AEST), Sunday 24th March 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel,
. Odds: Parramatta Eels 1.82, Manly Sea Eagles 2.00

Parramatta can take plenty of heart from the way they ran reigning premier Penrith close last week.

They were well in the game at halftime, leading by two points, but Penrith hit them with two quick tries before wrapping up a 26-18 win.

Even so there were plenty of positives to take from the game and confidence should still be high.

The Eels have won three of the past four games against Manly and have made CommBank Stadium something of a fortress, winning eight of their past 10 games there.

They have been hit by the news that Bailey Simonsson is missing after suffering a head knock against Penrith.

It means Morgan Harper will start on the wing and he can be backed at 2.40 to score a try at anytime.

Brooks starring for Sea Eagles

Manly have made a great start when beating premiership hopefuls South Sydney Rabbitohs and Sydney Roosters so far this season.

And it is the form of new signing Luke Brooks in the halves that has really caught the eye.

Brooks has been outstanding and Manly will need him to be on top form again on Sunday afternoon.

The playmaker can be backed at 4.50 to grab a try at anytime.

Jaxson Paulo will also be a real threat on the wing, and he is priced at 10.00 to score the first try of the game.

The game is likely to be a tight one and the Sea Eagles are 3.25 to win by 1-12 points, while the Eels are 3.10 to win by the same margin.
