NRL: Raiders ready for Broncos test

Canberra Raiders face their toughest test yet when they travel to take on Brisbane Broncos on Saturday evening.

The Raiders sit third on the ladder after winning four of their opening six games, and can be backed at 7.00 to finish in the top four.

Next up is a true test of their credentials, when they face a Broncos side that have yet to hit their straps but are still 4.50 to win the grand final.

The Panthers are still the hot fancies at 3.40 to win the premiership, and they are also in action when they entertain Wests Tigers.

Gold Coast Titans are looking for their first win of the season as head coach Des Hasler comes up against his form club, Manly Sea Eagles.

Still no Cleary for Panthers

. When: 15:00 (AEST), Saturday 20th April 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel
. Odds: Penrith Panthers 1.17, Wests Tigers 5.00

Penrith are back in action following a bye last week and will be keen to bounce back to winning ways after losing to Manly Sea Eagles in their last game.

They are still without influential playmaker Nathan Cleary but are boosted by the return of Scott Sorensen.

Wests Tigers have shown signs of improvement this season, but have lost their last two games.

The Tigers may have struggled at the bottom of the ladder in recent years, but have won two of the last four against the Panthers.

They won by four points in Penrith last season, and can be backed at 10.00 to win by 1-5 points this year.

Titans in need of a lift

. What: Gold Coast Titans v Manly Sea Eagles
. Where: Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast
. When: 17:30 (AEST), Saturday 20th April 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel
. Odds: Gold Coast Titans 3.50, Manly Sea Eagles 1.31

Gold Coast Titans sit 0-5 for the season and suffered heartbreak last week when losing by golden point to the Canberra Raiders.

They are in need of a boost and have beaten Manly in the last two meetings. A third win could not be more timely.

The Sea Eagles are also in need of a lift after drawing 22-22 with the Warriors last week.

Manly are boosted by the return of Jason Saab from injury, and the winger is priced at 6.50 to grab the first try of the game.

Massive test for Raiders

. What: Brisbane Broncos v Canberra Raiders
. Where: Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
. When: 19:35 (AEST), Saturday 20th April 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel
. Odds: Brisbane Broncos 1.36, Canberra Raiders 3.20

The Broncos have had an inconsistent start to the season and will be keen to pick up back-to-back wins for the first time.

They are boosted by the news Payne Haas could make his first appearance of the season as the injury room shows signs of clearing.

Brisbane have won their last five games at Suncorp, but the Raiders have a good record against them, winning four of the last six meetings.

That includes a 20-12 win the last time they met in Brisbane, and they can be backed at 9.00 to win by 6-10 points.
