NRL: Roosters out to spoil Foran party

Sydney Roosters will continue with their battle to stay in the top four when they travel to take on Gold Coast Titans on Sunday.

The Roosters are going well this season, currently sitting third on the NRL ladder, and are in the mix to go all the way and win the premiership.

To do that, a top-four finish is crucial, and there is work to do with the fifth-placed Bulldogs and sixth-placed Cowboys just two points behind them.

A win on the Gold Coast is crucial, but it will not be easy against a Titans side that have improved as the season has gone on.

Des Hasler’s side still have hopes of making the top eight, albeit very slim ones, and they will be battling to keep them alive.

It is also a special day for the Titans as they celebrate Kieran Foran’s 300th NRL appearance, so they will be desperate to get him the win.

Titans have it all to play for

The Titans may be 13th on the NRL ladder, but they have everything to play for heading into the game against the Roosters.

Foran made his 300th appearance in the loss to the Dragons last week, but back on home soil they will get the chance to honour him properly.

The playmaker can also be backed at 4.50 to celebrate the day by grabbing a try at anytime.

Six points away from the top eight, the Titans need to win their last three games and then pray that other results go their way.

It is a huge task, made harder by the fact they last beat the Roosters at Cbus Super Stadium way back in 2016.

They are priced at 11.00 to end the drought and nick the game by 1-5 points.

Jojo Fifita is in good form with five tries in the last three games, and he can be backed at 15.00 to score the first here.

Roosters looking up

Sydney Roosters still have to secure the top four, but there is still a chance they could catch Penrith in second spot.

They are two points behind the Panthers and will be targeting a strong finish before the finals campaign begins.

The Bondi outfit have a great record against the Titans, winning the last 10 meetings, and are 1.70 to win by 13+ points.

James Tedesco also loves playing against the Titans, scoring nine tries in the past seven games against them.

The gun fullback is 8.50 to score the first, or 1.83 to grab one at anytime.

The Roosters have also been handed a massive boost with the news that Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has returned from suspension and will take his place in the side.

However there is no Connor Watson, who is ruled out with concussion.
