Perth Scorchers Women will look to bounce back to winning ways when they entertain third-placed Brisbane Heat Women at the WACA on Tuesday.

The Scorchers slipped up on home soil when losing to the Melbourne Renegades in their last game, while the Heat also need to bounce back after losing a thriller against Hobart Hurricanes.

Mooney key for Scorchers

The Scorchers will be desperate to bounce back after being out-classed by the Melbourne Renegades in their last match at the WACA.

They slipped to a six-wicket defeat and will be very disappointed with the way they were bowled out for just 140 runs.

All 10 wickets fell to spin bowling and that is something they will need to try and resolve, when they face the Heat on Tuesday.

Only Beth Mooney performed with the bat, as the star opener made 36 runs, while Alana King was next best with 26 runs off 15 deliveries.

The Scorchers do not have the greatest record against the Heat either, losing three of the last four meetings between the two sides.

When the two teams played in November last year, it was the Heat that won by a massive 67 runs, so the Scorchers will know they are in for a battle.

Skipper Sophie Devine and their new signing, Indian ace Hemalatha Dayalan, made their first starts of the campaign against the Renegades.

The Scorchers will be hoping that duo can raise their game and come to the party against the Heat.

Heat need to bounce back

Brisbane Heat got the new campaign off to a great start as they picked up wins over the Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades.

However, Brisbane came back down to earth when losing a thriller against Hobart Hurricanes on Saturday.

The Heat looked to have put themselves into a very strong position, when making 173-5 off their 20 overs. Grace Harris was the star of the show with an impressive knock of 75.

But even that was not enough to get the job done, as the Hurricanes managed to chase down the total, getting there with two deliveries to spare and leaving the Heat empty handed.

Brisbane can take plenty of heart from the performance and will be confident of bouncing back against the Scorchers.
