Premier League: Points and bragging rights at stake in the capital

After a thrilling 3-3 draw at Premier League champions Manchester City, Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur have an all-London affair to look forward to when they host West Ham on Friday morning.

In a game that swung both ways, Tottenham showed they can be a match for the reigning European champions City but now with four games without a win, three points are a must when West Ham make the short trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Result the priority for Spurs

While the manner of their performance against Man City will have been pleasing for Postecoglou, results are what counts and now Spurs are four games without a win in the Premier League.

Previously the frontrunners on the ladder, Spurs have dropped down to fifth, but still firmly find themselves in the battle for Champions League qualification.

With five games unbeaten (4W, 1D) in all competitions, an in-form West Ham make the short trip across the capital early on Friday morning.

The Hammers have not won in any of their last five trips to Spurs in all competitions and the hosts are 1.75 to claim all three points and the bragging rights this week.

David Moyes’ West Ham are 4.20 to claim a first win at Tottenham since April 2019, while the draw is available at 4.20.

United and Blues clash at Old Trafford

A match that used to have a large bearing on the destination of the Premier League trophy, Manchester United and Chelsea are languishing in seventh and 10th place respectively ahead of their meeting at Old Trafford on Thursday morning.

United suffered their sixth defeat of the season with a 1-0 loss at Newcastle last time out, while Chelsea earned a 3-2 win over Brighton but still find themselves down in mid table.

Five of the last six meetings between these sides have ended in draws, and another stalemate at Old Trafford this week is available at 3.40

A United win is currently 2.90, while Chelsea to pick up three points on the road is 2.40.

Villa looking to trip up City

Man City have dropped points in all of their last three Premier League after three draws on the spin against Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs.

The tricky run continues against a Villa side that have real aspirations of a top-four finish this season.

Villa did grind out a draw the last time City came to Villa Park and a stalemate on Thursday morning is available at 4.30.

Man City to get back to winning ways is 1.75, with a win for Unai Emery’s Villa priced at 4.33.
