Premier League preview: Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham looking to avoid banana skin at Luton

Tottenham will be out to avoid a banana skin when they take on struggling Luton Town in the English Premier League this weekend.

Spurs have come through tough fixtures against Arsenal and Liverpool with four points and remain undefeated in the Premier League.

However, there can be no room for complacency when they take on a Luton side that have picked up just one win in seven games this season.

The biggest game of the weekend will take place at the Emirates Stadium when Arsenal entertain Manchester City in a top-of-the-table clash.

Let’s take a closer look at the weekend’s Premier League action.

No room for Spurs complacency

Ange Postecoglou continues to work his magic at Tottenham, who remain undefeated after seven Premier League games.

Many thought the honeymoon period would be over with games against Arsenal and Liverpool on the cards, but Spurs have come through them with flying colours.

A 2-2 draw with Arsenal, followed by a 2-1 win over Liverpool, leaves them sitting in second place in the table, just one point behind Manchester City.

Tottenham are 17.00 to win the Premier League title this season, with City still the 1.53 hot fancies.

Spurs captain Heung-min Son continues to find the net on a regular basis and has six goals for the season so far. The South Korean has just two less than Erling Haaland so far this term.

Son can be backed at 2.10 to score at anytime on Saturday, and 4.75 to grab the first goal at Kenilworth Road.

Luton have been conceding an average of two goals a game and lost 2-1 at home to Burnley in their last home game.

Over 2.5 goals in the game can be backed at 1.57.

City attempt to bounce back against Gunners

Manchester City showed they are human after all when slipping to a 2-1 defeat against Wolves last weekend.

Pep Guardiola’s men could not ask for a much harder next Premier League game, as they take on an undefeated Arsenal side at the Emirates Stadium.

City are priced at 2.37 to take the three points, with Arsenal available 3.00 and the draw 3.30.

Arsenal have been solid at home this season when beating Manchester United 3-1 and drawing 2-2 with Tottenham in the North London derby.

These are two sides that love to attack and score goals and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 1.80.

Liverpool travel to Brighton

Another standout game this weekend sees fourth-placed Liverpool travel to Brighton, who sit in sixth spot with five wins from seven this season.

Brighton have already beaten Newcastle on home soil this season, but were hammered 6-1 at Aston Villa last time out and need to bounce back.

Liverpool slipped up when losing 2-1 to Tottenham, so it is a huge game for both sides.

The Reds are priced at 2.20 to win the game, Brighton are 3.00, while the draw is 3.80.

Rest of the action

It is another jam-packed weekend of action in the Premier League with Chelsea set to travel to Burnley, while Manchester United are at home to Brentford.

Fulham are at home to Sheffield United, Crystal Palace entertain Nottingham Forest, while West Ham face Newcastle.

To wrap up the action Wolves take on Aston Villa.
