Premier League preview: Postecoglou seeks Spurs response

After seeing their unbeaten run to the Premier League season come to an end against Chelsea earlier this week, Ange Postecoglou will be looking for a response from his Tottenham Hotspur side when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Spurs head to Molineux in the early hours of Saturday morning with the mission to get their campaign back on track after a 4-1 defeat to rivals Chelsea.

Making sure the heavy defeat to their London rivals was just a blip will be a priority for Postecoglou, as they look to leapfrog reigning champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Spurs head to unhappy hunting ground

Saturday will be a good test for Spurs and their title credentials this season, as they head to a ground that has not yielded the best results for Tottenham in recent visits.

Spurs have won just one of their last four trips to Molineux in all competitions and suffered a 1-0 on their last visit there in March this year.

Responding quickly to setbacks is what title-winning sides do and three points this weekend would be the perfect remedy after the disappointment of the heavy defeat to Chelsea.

Heung-Min Son has been Spurs’ top goalscorer in the Premier League this season, with eight goals in his 11 appearances so far.

Remarkably the South Korean international has not scored against Wolves since his arrival in north London in 2015 and the 31-year-old forward is 2.62 to open his account against the West Midlands outfit this weekend.

Showdown at The Bridge the pick of the fixtures

Looking ahead to the early hours of Monday morning and Chelsea’s clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge will attract global interest.

Chelsea have started to find some rhythm under former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and they will have a real acid test when they host the Citizens in west London.

City head into this game on the back of a convincing 3-0 win over Young Boys in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland was a doubt for the game against the Swiss outfit but did start the match and bagged himself a brace on the night.

Haaland, who already has 11 goals in 11 Premier League games this season, is 3.60 to score the opening goal of the game against Chelsea, while he’s 1.90 to score anytime.

Unsurprisingly, City are the favourites to claim the three points in the capital at 1.75, with Chelsea at 3.60 to condemn the Citizens to their third defeat of the league campaign.

A draw between these Champions League-winning clubs is available at 3.60.
