Premier League preview: Unbeaten Tottenham return with Fulham clash

After the international break, the Premier League action finally returns this weekend with some cracking derby clashes to look forward to.

Ange Postecoglou’s unbeaten Tottenham Hotspur side must wait until the early hours of Tuesday morning before they can resume their campaign with a home clash against Fulham.

Before then, there’s the first Merseyside derby to look forward to between Liverpool and Everton, while all eyes will be on Stamford Bridge on Sunday for the all-London affair between Chelsea and Arsenal.

Let’s take a closer look at the weekend’s big Premier League battles.

Unbeaten after their first eight games of the Premier League campaign, it has been a strong start for Postecoglou at Spurs.

Sitting top of the table going into this weekend’s fixtures, Spurs have shown there is life after striker Harry Kane, following his high-profile move to Bayern Munich over the summer.

Spurs were less than convincing in their 1-0 win at Luton before the international break and they will be seeking a move complete performance when they host Fulham on Tuesday.

The Cottagers have been forced to deal with the loss of their own star striker with the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic over the summer.

That’s not been as easy for Fulham, who have failed to score in two of their last three Premier League games.

A Tottenham win to nil is available at 3.00 for this clash in north London.

Merseyside derby starts proceedings

Getting the Premier League’s return after the international break off with a bang, rivals Liverpool and Everton meet in the first Merseyside derby of the season on Saturday.

Sitting three points behind Spurs going into the weekend, Liverpool look to be back to their former selves after a disappointing campaign last term.

Everton look like they have another battle on their hands to avoid the drop and the pressure is on manager Sean Dyche to drive the Toffees away from the bottom three.

Liverpool are 1.33 to claim the three points on home soil, with Everton at 7.50 to pull off a shock victory at Anfield. The draw for the derby clash is available at 5.75.

Big showdown in the capital

Sunday throws up the pick of the weekend’s games as Chelsea prepare to host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Along with Postecoglou’s Spurs, Arsenal are the other side left undefeated in the Premier League so far this season.

That record will be put to the test against a Blues side that started the season poorly but have started to find their feet under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea are the underdogs on their own patch to claim the win at 3.20, while Arsenal are 2.25 to secure the three points across the capital. The draw is currently 3.40.
