There are five meetings set to take place on Monday including at Warwick Farm, where an eight-race metro programme is scheduled.

Race 7 Warwick Farm

Hard To Say @ 4.60

Race 6 Muswellbrook

Beyond My Ken @ 3.60

Race 5 Mildura

Kova @ 5.50

Say to resume with Warwick Farm win

The most valuable race on the Warwick Farm card is the penultimate race of the day, a 1000m Benchmark 100 handicap.

A soft 5 track is expected for the sprint, with I Am Unstoppable expected to jump as favourite dropping in grade.

The four-year-old was beaten less than one-and-a-half-lengths when placing second in the 1200m Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington in November last year.

However, he has made just two subsequent appearances. disappointing down the straight at Flemington on each occasion. including in Listed company at the end of March.

The colt has joined Ciaron Maher from Lloyd Kennewell & Lucy Yeomans since that effort and he has trialled well ahead of his return to action.

Fellow class dropper HARD TO SAY is the selection here, however, with the gelding having placed twice in Group 3 company earlier this year.

The second of those placed efforts saw the five-year-old beaten one-and-a-half-lengths when contesting the 1300m Liverpool City Cup at Randwick at the start of March.

The 4.60 pick raced on a soft 5 track that day and has since registered a win over 1100m in a Benchmark 94 handicap held on a good 4 surface at Rosehill.

While Jason Deamer’s sprinter could finish only sixth in the Listed Ortensia Stakes at Scone when last in action in May, he showed up well in a couple of barrier trials last month.

Nash Rawiller’s mount has an inside barrier here and, having made all in the previously mentioned Rosehill contest, he is taken to successfully employ similar tactics here.

Muswellbrook success not Beyond Ken

The sixth race at Muswellbrook is an interesting 1000m Class 1 handicap expected to take place on a good 4 surface.

Top weight Thundering Soul is expected to have his supporters when contesting the easiest race he has been seen in since debuting with a win at Scone in January.

That Scone win came over 900m when racing on a good 4 track and he is set to encounter similar underfoot conditions here.

However, the gelding failed to make an impact in two starts last prep, including when seventh of nine over 1200m at Randwick on a soft 5 surface in May.

Kris Lees’ youngster gets a drop down from metro-level racing here, however, BEYOND MY KEN is the selection on this occasion.

Trained by Scott Singleton, the colt has made just two starts to date, debuting with a victory in a 1000m event when racing on a soft 7 track in Scone.

The three-year-old returned lame, fading when stepped up to 1400m for the Group 3 Bailleieu, which was held on a good 4 surface at Rosehill eight days later.

The 3.60 selection has been off the track since that Rosehill effort which came at the end of March, however, he showed up well in trials last month.

Christian Reith takes the ride here and his mount looks capable of recording a win when wearing blinkers for the first time.

Kova ready to shine at Mildura

Shayne & Chelsea Cahill are set to saddle KOVA in the fifth race at Mildura.

The race in question is a 1000m Benchmark 58 handicap, with the pick a winner already this prep, having resumed with a triumph over 1005m at Warracknabeal in August.

The 5.50 selection came home two lengths clear of her rivals when racing on a soft 5 track that day and she also acquitted herself well when fourth at Morphettville two weeks later.

The six-year-old stepped up to 1200m for that Morphettville event and dropped back to this distance when a good fourth at Halidon last month.

The daughter of Zebedee was beaten just over a length when racing in a Benchmark 64 handicap on a good 4 track at Halidon and she is taken to record her second win of 2024.
